The OSKAR Content Finder (www.contentfinder.com) is a web-based index to electronic content providers and content descriptions from a wide-range of publishers and information providers. Those in search of syndicated content for their website, wireless service, etc., can use the Content Finder to identify appropriate suppliers. Content is indexed by Topic, Demographic Audience, Content Type, Publisher, and Language.

Previously, only clients taking part in OSKAR's formal repping program were able to list content assets in the OSKAR Content Finder. OSKAR has recently opened this service up to third-party publishers who wish to self-syndicate, but need inexpensive ways to generate new leads.

To participate, the publisher pays OSKAR a small annual fee for inclusion in appropriate areas of the Content Finder. The standard fee is $500/year for up to 4 keywords, with a $25 charge for each additional keyword thereafter.

Prospective licensees who use the Content Finder and wish to obtain further details can click on a link from that introductory description to a page on the publisher's site that contains the details of their content syndication program, as well as the name of a contact person. If the publisher doesn't have such a page, they can develop one before listing their content in the content finder or have OSKAR create one for them (see Level 2.J. below). The Publisher is responsible for handling leads generated in this fashion and keeps all revenues from resulting licenses, hopefully making it very easy to recoup their annual listing fee. They have no further obligation to OSKAR.

8. Outsourced content licensing sales services.
9. Review of specific content licensing agreements currently under negotiation or help with drafting key points for a licensing agreement template.
10. Preparation of an effective web page describing your content syndication program. This page can be used on publisher's own site, as well as within the OSKAR Content Finder to develop new leads.

LEVEL 3: On-Going, Pro-Active Representation by OSKAR Consulting

For a limited number of publishers whose business models, content assets, and current level of content syndication pass through a fairly rigorous selection process, OSKAR Consulting offers ongoing content syndication business development services. Such clients have typically gone through at least part of the OSKAR Consulting Content Fitness Program (See Level 2), but this is not a requirement. My staff and I pay careful attention to each client's goals and seek out partnerships that suit their strategy, business models and company priorities.
