Elizabeth Osborne Karolczak, President and Founder of OSKAR Consulting, holds a Bachelor's Degree from Stanford University in International Relations, and a Master's Degree in International Business, Law and Technology Policy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University.
Elizabeth founded OSKAR Consulting in April 1992, with the purpose of assisting U.S. and international reference publishers to find overseas distribution partners for their print publications.
As the multimedia era arrived, OSKAR Consulting's charter grew to include assisting publishers to integrate electronic distribution strategies with international business development strategies.
This mandate evolved with the industry with OSKAR Consulting's primary focus now centering on assisting publishers to design, implement and manage their electronic distribution strategy worldwide.
Elizabeth has negotiated a large number of deals on her clients behalf, gaining a wide expertise in industry trends, contract terms, business models and negotiating strategies.
Prior to founding OSKAR Consulting in April 1992, Elizabeth created and managed the International Business Development department of INTEGRATA AG, a major German software and training company, from their headquarters in Germany. Earlier positions focused on market research for technology companies. Elizabeth is fluent in German.
